I had to reblog this, because this is from the Memphis Zoo. They have an exhibit as soon as you enter the park with black and white colobus monkeys. The exhibit is next to a restaurant and there are really large windows where you can watch the monkeys play. Many times if you stand next to the windows, the monkeys will slam themselves into the windows. (The window is made of un breakable glass). The monkeys normally do this with taller men. When I have stood by the window they rarely throw themselves at the window. The monkeys are certainly entertaining while you eat your hamburger. LOL

My Katniss Everdeen costume on Beale St. Memphis, TN on 10-27-12.
Here are my pictures from The Color Run Memphis on October 13, 2012.
1. Picture of the Keep Calm and Finish Nursing School Team. My husband is not a nursing student, or a nurse. In fact, he’s a chemist. LOL He is married to a nurse/nursing student, so he qualifies. =)
2. This is the study group I keep talking about. 2 of my best nursing school buddies and myself.
3. My husband and I after the run. He managed to get a lot of his green paint packet on my face. LOL
4. Keep Calm and Finish Nursing School after the race. We look a hot mess!!!
It was so much fun!
EXCITED! The Color Run Memphis is this morning!
A few of my friends and I developed a team called “Keep Calm and Finish Nursing School”. LOL
We are going to dress a hot mess for our 5k!
Since we are nursing students….and also LPNs…….. We decided it would be a good idea to wear little nursing caps. ^_^ This is the exact cap we’ll be rocking!
Here is our race route for Memphis………

This 5k has selected the DeNeuville Learning Center as the sponsored charity.
Their mission is to assist women of all backgrounds and cultures in learning the skills needed to make positive choices for themselves and their families.

I’M SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!

Pictures of the fun will be posted later!
What what!!! I passed Mental Health!!
W00T W00T ladies and gents! That’s right! I survived the crazies. LOL
I received an 87% on my final exam, and an 82% overall average.

I have a fun filed weekend planned with some of my school buddies. We are participating in the Color Run here in Memphis.

After all that fun I will be returning to studying. Pediatric Nursing is up next. I’m scared. I’ve heard this course is difficult, but I will bust my ass to pass the course!!
Anywho……….I’m happy!!!
I went to Mid-South Pride today (10-6-12) to show support for equality and love.
Here is the outfit I rocked for pride! ^_^ I created the rainbow eyes using Rockeresque Beauty products
Heading to Alzheimer’s Day Services today for clinical
One of our clinical days in Mental Health Nursing is at our local Alzheimer’s Day Service. It should be interesting and fun. I have worked with patients who suffered with Alzheimer’s in the past.

I also attended a 2 day seminar in the past regarding the disease hosted by Teepa Snow.

I’m excited! LET’S DO THIS!!!

Now that all the formalities are done, I can spill the beans
I won The MED Foundation Kirk Franklin scholarship for nursing students. They are paying for this semester and next. I do have to work for them for 2 years, but at least I’ll have a job once I finish! WHAT!!! I am still in shock. Excited! W00T!!!
Check out The MED >HERE<

I’m still in shock that I won.
This is a little more aesthetically pleasing, and may be more appropriate to hang in our classroom. LOL!! I wouldn’t be easily confused with a mentally ill patient as with my other “political” poster.
My political poster for Student Nursing Government Association. I was nominated by my peers for the Vice President position. I need ALL the nursing students at Southwest Tennessee Community College to VOTE FOR KACTIS! Fall Semester 2012
